When your artwork is digitized, we deliver files at 2500 pixels on the longest edge, at 227 dpi. This resolution is optimized for the way your images will be used, from your landscape book to prints and everyday sharing.
These files are not the raw, full resolution originals. We edit each image specifically so it looks its best in a landscape book. That editing includes color correction and light enhancements that bring out extra detail and richer color, so your artwork "pops" a bit more than a flat scan would. Throughout this process, the goal is always to stay faithful to the original artwork, not to change how it looks.
All images are delivered in JPEG format. If you're uploading images to our site, we also support PNG files.
If you download your digital files, they're also suitable for making your own prints elsewhere, such as posters. If you print larger than 16x20 inches, keep in mind that the image is designed to look best at a normal viewing distance of a few feet back, which is how most people view larger prints and posters. If you look very closely up close, you may notice a slight softness, similar to what you'd see if you zoomed all the way in on a photo. From a normal viewing distance, this isn't noticeable.
